Over the last week I've had the opportunity to participate in a few virtual home tours on Instagram. I've engaged with many individuals that have the same passion for DIY and home decor as I do and I've been inspired by so many across the globe.
This weeks theme I'm keeping close to home. It is all about #America and #patrioticdesignideas and #DIY. With flag day just passing and the 4th of July right around the corner followed by Labor Day what better time to share?
Here are some fantastic posts that I came across this week on Instagram and had to share. Each one of these has sparked some fabulous ideas for the upcoming holiday. If you aren't following these ladies on IG you need to, their design ideas are FABULOUS!
I just love this outdoor set up by Rebecca of @thankmylucystar. From the American flags in the white pitcher to the mix of stars and stripes pillows. And can we talk about how cute the red, white and blue pennant banners are?
I found some cute pennant banners on the Crate&Barrel website today along with some fun patriotic throw pillows from #Kirklands
Tina of @livesimplymodernfarmhouse had several red, white, and blue posts this week that were all an inspiration from her front porch {featured here} to her tablescapes. They certainly put me in a patriotic mood!
This porch swing is such a nice feature and the white is a great backdrop for any pillow color scheme. I'm looking forward to see what Tina does for all the other holidays.

Can we talk about how great this DIY flag wreath is? I came across the on Your Cozy Home's blog post and then saw Jen Marshall of @alittledoseofjen making it on Instagram.
This is such a fun and easy project that you can make on your own or have your kids make {just make sure they are of age to use toothpicks}. It's so simple it only requires two items.

Now let's talk tablescapes! Hasn't @southernyankeediy put together a beautiful and simple patriotic tablescape? I just love the small touches of red, white, and blue without going overboard and the touch of yellow is perfect and draws the eyes up.
And that cake looks delicious! By the way, she said she got it at #Publix!
