If you're anything like me, you've probably found yourself in the midst of a home décor dilemma with your significant other. It's that classic tale of two visions colliding – he's envisioning his ultimate man cave, while I'm dreaming of a tidy, functional space where both cars can comfortably park. He has his "wants/needs," and I have mine, and at times, it can feel like we're speaking entirely different design languages. But fear not! This garage makeover is part of our upcoming One Room Challenge, and let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure so far! Step one was clearing out the clutter – and trust me, we had a lot of it. From donating old furniture to posting items on Facebook Marketplace and even a few trips to the dump (our trash cans are too small!), we've been on a mission to create a blank canvas for our makeover extravaganza.

Now that most of the clutter is gone, it's time for the fun part – choosing the perfect paint colors! He wants his space to reflect his style, while I'm aiming for a clean, organized vibe that still has a touch of personality. What I ultimately want is a space that he feels is truly his but with a bit of me sprinkled in because after all, I also need some space for my DIY tools and gadgets.

We will most likely tie in some of the other colors we gravitated to like green and blue in other ways (yet to be determined).
