Hey DIY warriors, it's time for another update on my One Room Challenge progress! Week three was a bit of a doozy, to be honest. With a full schedule at work and an important meeting on Friday, I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to devote to the project.

But fear not, my friends, because we still managed to accomplish a few key tasks. First and foremost, we spent a lot of time mapping out the panel and moulding and figuring out how we wanted to case the openings. This may not sound like a thrilling accomplishment, but believe me, it was a major step forward in the project.

In addition, the two lighting fixtures I ordered arrived and I'm beyond excited to reveal them to you all this coming week, I haven't even opened them yet, but I'm dying too. Fingers crossed they are what I imagine, because if they are they're going to add some serious pizzazz to the foyer.

As for the rug, I'm still on the hunt for the perfect one. If any of you have any suggestions, please shoot them my way! Here is a "rendering" of what the foyer will look like. I'll be posting some options in my Instagram stories throughout the week, so keep an eye out and please vote on your favorites.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "Hmmm, doesn't sound like a whole lot was accomplished this week." And you're not wrong. But I want to take a moment to remind us all that DIY projects are a marathon, not a sprint. Some weeks we'll make major strides forward, and other weeks we'll have to take a step back and catch our breath. That's just the nature of the game.

And honestly, I think it's important to take those breaks. This weekend, I took some time to recover and get some R&R, and it was exactly what I needed to come back to the project feeling refreshed and motivated.

So there you have it, folks. Week three may not have been the most action-packed, but we still managed to make progress and keep the momentum going. As always, thank you for following along on this journey, and stay tuned for more updates!

Until next time, keep on rockin' those DIY projects.
